If you enjoy the spectacular beauty of our underwater world, Club Ed will be your paradise. Centrally located along the Great Maya Reef, you will have nearly two dozen dive sites and a dozen snorkeling sites within a half-hour radius. And for those days when you simply don't feel like getting in the car, all you need to do is grab you snorkeling gear and walk out the patio door. Only 50 feet from your deck, you can submerge yourself in Aventuras Akumal's protected bay and enjoy the splendor of a shallow patch reef teeming with thousands of fish.

The myriad of fringing reefs, drop offs and coral gardens provide a wide array of habitat for more than 500 species of fish and 4 species of turtles that live in the Great Maya Reef. There is something for everyone, regardless of their diving or snorkeling skills.

There is great diving all up and down the coast. Dive shops are located in Akumal.  Visit Cozumel, with it's world-famous dive sites is easily accessible from the Ferries at Playa Del Carmen.

Another option for snorkeling and/or diving is the local cenotes. Cenotes are fresh water pools that originate from underground rivers. They come in many shapes and sizes, and have clear, cool water. Some are great for swimming and snorkeling, and others you can explore with guides with scuba equipment. These water-wonders are located both in the jungle and near the ocean, and may be private or public.

Fishing is also available in the area. There are several boats for hire just up the beach from our Villa. Additional boats can be found in Akumal and most beach locations.
